depends on what they are talkin about. If it’s President Trump, I let ‘em rant, then ask them this question first and is usually stops ‘em in their tracks.

I don’t always talk to clueless leftists, But when I do I usually order fries.
I simply do not talk to my liberal family members anymore. They are stuck on stupid. I talk to my nieces, nephews and kids instead and look to instill better virtues in them then were instilled into my liberal family members.

Ask questions and listen attentively and courteously - then maybe add a comment that helps indicate there are deeper levels of thought needed to really discuss it - teach them to think.....if that fails, bitch about your day until they decide they don’t want to talk with you - you win and they think it was their idea...

I met with some former Coworkers / Friends over the weekend.
Didn’t discuss Politics, but I asked one of them about another Coworker who had “unfriended “ me on Fakebook.
I learned she was pretty Liberal from her Postings and those of her Friends, but we had a sort of agree to disagree thing going. A few of her Friends went after me with a vengeance and I replied to me very specifically, calling them out for their personal attacks and lack of factual knowledge. Right after that, she cut me off.
All this time I thought it was about my Postings to her Liberal Friends. I come to find out that I pissed her off when I posted that Photoshop of the Confederate Flag lighting up the White House in response to Obama’s in your face Rainbow Flag lighting up the White House after the SCOTUS eviscerated the Tenth Amendment making Gay Marriage the Law of the Land rather than being a States Rights issue.
I worked with this particular Woman for ten years and now she thinks I’m some Nazi Racist or something. She failed to see the hypocrisy and hatred that POTUS Obama displayed against half the Americans who didn’t agree with that SCOTUS Ruling. Simply amazing.
I never, ever talk politics with ‘em. It’s an absolute exercise in futility.
Never tell a brainwashed person how things really are. It will never work. Ask questions never give an answer. Let them think about it. Short simple questions.
