Pelosi Refers to Workers’ Bonuses as ‘Crumbs’ Once Again
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 1/26/18 | Haris Alic

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) once again referred to bonuses and wage increases, given out as a result of Republican tax cuts, as "crumbs" on Friday.

Pelosi tweeted a cartoon of an individual with "middle class" written on his back staring into a mouse trap with a morsel of food on the trip. Above the individual is an elephant in a suit saying, "We added a 2% increase to your crumb."

At the bottom of the cartoon in minuscule letters is the punch line of the joke: "We'll take it out of your retirement, which will be brief."

Along with the cartoon, Pelosi tweeted that she believes it is "obnoxious" that the Republican Party would think "workers should be weak-kneed with gratitude" because corporations are raising wages and giving out bonuses as a result of tax reform.

"Pretty obnoxious the GOP thinks workers should be weak-kneed with gratitude for corporations giving them pennies while pocketing a multi-billion dollar tax break stolen from the future of the middle class. #GOPTaxScam" Pelosi tweeted.

The cartoon seems to be the very same one that Pelosi alluded to Thursday in an appearance with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) at a "Trump Tax" town hall in Boca Raton, Florida. The Pelosi's appearance sparked renewed criticism after she, describing the cartoon above, echoed comments similar to the ones she made earlier this month, directly comparing raised wages and bonuses to "crumbs."

At the event, Schultz also waded into the controversy by claiming that some of the $1,000 bonuses being given out as a result of tax cuts won't "go very far."

Pelosi and House Democrats have come under fire from Republicans over their comments attempting to dismiss the impact of tax reform. Republicans have called the comments out-of-touch, but mainstream news outlets have completely ignored them.

A study conducted by the Heritage Foundation found that tax reform's boost to gross domestic product would translate to a monetary increase of about $4,000 to $4,400 per household. Furthermore, a report released by the International Monetary Fund on Monday found that the GOP tax cuts would boost overall economic growth to 2.7 percent in 2018.

It’s hard to find words low enough, base enough to describe people like her.

I am really at a loss to understand how Pelosi became as rotten as she is.

Why the hell is this person in our government?

Anyone remember that, when it was found out she was stealing investors money through insider info? And when the public found out and became outraged - except for Democrap voters - they quickly passed the stock act.....

Actually, it started when Politicians were accused of insider trading, so they redirected the public's attention to Martha Stewart and put her in jail. They thought that would be the end of it.

However, the Pelosi issue came up and they were forced to make new laws to 'cover' themselves.

Note that in the STOCK Act, there was supposed to be 'transparency', but that Harry Reid got that changed so they no longer had to reports their 'profits' to the public.

How convenient.

The crumb dingbat’s net worth: Nancy and her husband estimated their personal net worth to be between $43 million and $202 million.

Given these figures, She’d be out of what’s left of her mind
if she thought of $1000 as anything less than “a crumb”.

Unreal, they are covering themselves so they can commit crimes and I lost a ton of money in stocks around 15 years ago and it makes me wonder if any of them were involved in dumping the stocks I lost my ass in. Al Gore is another, how the hell is this guy worth half a billion when he’s never held a job that paid him more than $110k take home not to mention he’s been unemployed since 2001. Next thing I know he’s selling TV stations. The guy was involved in pump and dumps in my opinion, he was invested in BS green companies and got fed funds for them which would drive up the stock and then he’d cash out leaving legit investors holding the bag.

“While the phrase is commonly attributed to Queen Marie Antoinette,[1] there is no record of her having said it.”

... but when has that ever stopped anybody!

Isn’t it time for Pelosie’s companies to give more bonusrs to their employees just to show everyone how it is done?
We will not see any contributions by her at all because she is a greedy bitch. Aren’t zero smaller crumbs than what is being given? The Dimms are trying to increase the taxes on the employers, thus killing the golden Goose. If they don’t have the money, they can’t pay.

The bonus, the wage increase, and the tax increase. There things you did not have with the Democrats in control. And for many you can add to that a job.
