The timeline is a little slower even though you might be fundamentally correct. The citizenship will probably come in 5 years. Trump might ask for 10, but only get 5. That means those new citizens can start importing some relatives unless chain is limited for citizens, not just green card or Trump card immigrants.

The end point is the same, we get overrun and they vote for Chavez. But Trump's plan is the kind of American greatness that will give the power back to middle America. Yes, there will be hispanic immigrants there too, but they might be happy enough to not vote or not vote for Chavez. This is all a huge gamble but the other alternative is to keep the border open and let the illegal problem get worse.
