Why is the flag reversed on that side?

The Flag is always shown so it has the appearance of "advancing".

Glad the 82nd and 101st troopers at Normandy didn’t know that. All the photos of them show the field “backwards” on their right sleeves. I don’t think they let that stop them from advancing.
