With Home Depot and Starbucks moving to offer employees bonuses as a result of President Trumps tax reform package, the total number of firms rewarding workers has reached 250, a jump of 525 percent in just two weeks.
The companies have credited the tax changes for plans to offer bonuses of up to $3,000, increases in retirement plans, wage hikes and even adoption benefits.
The tax watchdog group Americans for Tax Reform, headed by Grover Norquist, has been keeping the most updated list of companies offering benefits and today told Secrets that it had crossed the 250 mark.
Whats more, many more companies are offering employee benefits but are just now passing along their information to ATRs list keeper, communications chief John Kartch, who is requesting them to his email address, JKartch@atr.org
Some examples he just added:
Is there no end to the evil that this president knows? LOL!
The Democratic Partys top leaders on Thursday flicked aside the bonuses and pay hikes 250 companies like Home Depot, Fiat Chrysler and Wells Fargo are giving employees as a result of the tax reform package approved in Congress last year and signed by President Trump.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi repeated her complaint that it was just a crumb, and that corporate fat cats will get so much more.
And the former Democratic Party chief Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz dismissed $1,000 bonuses as chump change what wont be worth much when taxed.
Their comments were captured by the conservative group America Rising Squared at the #TrumpTax Town Hall at Florida Atlantic University sponsored by Not One Penny.
Pelosi said, Theres a cartoon that I just love.... Theres a little mouse trap whos got a little piece of cheese on there and theres a mouse about to take it and thats called the middle class. And around it are fat cats, they look a lot like elephants but anyway, around there. And thats the thing. Get this little thing and we get this big bonanza. You get the crumb, we get the banquet.
Wasserman Schultz added, Frankly, if you look at the bonuses, which I havent heard of a corporate bonus more than $1,000 so far. Which by the way is taxed, so its not $1,000. And then you spread $1,000 over the course of the year to think of about how much that is of course they get it all at once. But Im not sure that $1,000 (which is taxed, taxable) goes very for almost anyone.
I assume about half of these workers voted as rats in the last several elections. Is there any indication that these beneficiaries of DJTs policies will change their tune in the future? I mean, scorpions do what scorpions do, right?
So much winning!
No doubt a lot of them supported the opposition and this will probably NOT change their tune. I don’t think that was the intent anyway.
Nanners sure seems to be making sure her 137,000 in property tax gets in. She better hope assessments have been made already.
We are watching you ruthless Bitch from hell.
As Scott Adams predicted, from “Hitler” to “He’s effective but I don’t like him” in one year.
It never takes much to make the socialists in power look like the idiots they are.
Take Chuck and his Military Shutdown. He prefers to open the floodgates to less fortunate in other nations over the less fortunate citizens here and sticks a bone up the military at the same time.
How did that work for you Chuck? You need to stroke out tomorrow.
A strong USA is a strong free world.
Not yet on the list, but this morning Northrop Grumman Corporation announced contributions averaging $800 to the retirement accounts (typically 401k plans) of its 67,000 salaried employees.
That said, many thanks to Home Depot and the other thoughtful American companies who believe in the dreams of the American People...
That's impressive too... Seems our companies believe in the American People... even if 'elites' like Nancy Pelosi think of these wonderful offerings as 'crumbs'...
