I believe what some wise folks have surmised - that this is all done in coordination. Folks who think that Nunes or the Republicans in Congress are too timid or lack wisdom should probably calm down. It’s going according to plan.
In 2016, there was no way Trump could have released ANY of this stuff-—even if DOJ had it all-—and expected any of it to go anywhere. Many Rs were still hoping for impeachment, other Rs were keeping their heads down, hoping to ride out a failed presidency.
Our side doesn’t understand that the majority of people in America STILL want to trust their government, still want their institutions to be worthy of support. Revealing corruption is a slow public relations process. And you must have the public supporting it or the legislators won’t, and if they don’t, they will do everything from remove funding to ultimately impeach. No funding, no investigations.
