Could be that Trump knows exactly what the timing will be as to when the 4 page memo will be released. He also knows what he is going to say for the upcoming SOTU speech. And he has a fairly good idea of what the impact will be. When the time comes for him to go to see Mueller, the entire landscape may be changed so quite radically that it doesn’t really matter whether he promised to go to speak with Mueller under oath or not.....

Trump and his legal team are at least as smart as we are. We are all screaming it’s a trap. Now unless Trump’s ego is completely out of control he must see it too. Some here are saying the memo is going to stop this. From I’ve read it’s going to be 2 weeks at least before we see it. By that time the Rats and MSM will have shredded its credibility. The way Sarah was talking it certainly didn’t sound like it’s going to be part of the SOTU.
If we’re right and Trump doesn’t have a trick up his sleeve testifying will probably end up killing his presidency.

Trump is many things, but stupid is not one of them. I am not sure what his game here is, but I know he has something up his sleeve.

Trump is letting his ego get the best of him when it comes to talking to Mueller Talking about business trump maybe smarter. Talking about legal things and possible perjury entrapment the Mueller team will eat his lunch and get him indicted DUMB
Trump never does anything happenstance or without a purpose.
As president, he may be aware of information or intelligence on Mueller than he can use as leverage to get Mueller to back off.
He shouldn't and won't be interviewed unless, it is off the record and not recorded, just like Hillary's interrogation went.

Don’t underestimate President Trump.
Trump will even want the interview video recorded. Once the cameras are turned on Trump takes out a stack of papers with of the lost text messages and asks Mueller if he would mind if he read a few for the record.
