I was hoping a real submariner would weigh in. I’m in several groups and do not see the attitude he described at all. I don’t know of any who are for women on the boats. It’s not sexist on their part, they feel it is just logical to avoid a potentially disruptive situation.

I try to wrap my head around it but it’s very hard. What I do believe, though, is that married couples should not ever serve together. Also, there should be absolutely no displays of affection while on duty or in front of those on duty.

Not a military guy, but I think this would help morale and all aspects of the mission.
