A CNN reporter admitted on Sunday that her network’s obsession with Russia is out of touch with most of the American public.
“I’m so interested to see how the Russia investigation affects things, because so far, out in these districts when you talk to people about Russia, and that’s all we talk about at CNN basically, they say they don’t care,” Maeve Reston, a national politics reporter at CNN, said on “Inside Politics.”
“It doesn’t have any effect on their lives.”
CNN, along with MSNBC, have focused heavily on the Russia investigations being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and three congressional committees.
Democratic lawmakers appear frequently on both networks to push the idea that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government. The network also frequently interviews contributors and analysts who speculate about possible collusion, though none have offered proof that it actually occurred.

TWICE! Twice in like 36 hours, CNN has bucked the boss on the routine hating-Trump thematic blather and meme!
This is astounding to see them begin to experiment with backing down! We will soon see if these two peeps of truth are long tolerated.
The media are so obsessed with Russia Russia Russia, because they can’t admit that Clinton was a lazy, entitled candidate, that not even they could drag across the finish line. So, the only possible way she could have lost, to their thinking, is if Russia interfered.
I think a large % of Hillary voters have moved on as well (I know of one who got over it immediately).
30 million people watch CNN, ABC, and NBC combined. And a lot of those viewers believe every word spoken on those networks.
Me too.
Trump is the only thing that can and has the desire to save this country.
He is literally, pulling us back from the brink. I'm worried already about his successor.
