the Republican Party has not earned respect by supporting trump’s efforts to make America great again. They either oppose, obstruct, or give luke warm support.
It's true that the Congressional Republicans will bear the chief blame if they get wiped out in November. I've never seen a party be less supportive of its President, or of the People who elected that President.
