WH Physician reports Pres Trump is "currently very healthy and will remain so for the remainder of his presidency." Dr. Ronny Jackson said @POTUS weighs 239 pounds. Has discussed he work on losing 10-15 pounds over the next year. His blood pressure is 122/74, heart rate 68.
"His cardiac health is excellent," says Dr. Jackson of @POTUS. His cholesterol is 223, aiming to reduce his LDL to below 120. Fasting glucose 89. "Great findings across the board," said the WH Physician of the president.
Asked about incident last year where Pres Trump seemed to slur words, Dr Jackson said his office checked that out at the time and found no clinical findings. Dr. thinks he may have prescribed too much Sudafed and that gave him dry mouth.
On the president's mental acuity, Dr. Jackson says "the president is very sharp, very intact." Declares the president "fit for duty - for this term and another," if he's re-elected.
Dr Jackson, a Rear Admiral in the US Navy, pronounces Pres Trump "a good patient." "For the most part he's very cooperative."
“He has incredibly good genes & that’s just the way God made him," said Dr Jackson when asked about the president's inclination for fast food and diet sodas. "It's called genetics.” Told him if he had a healthier diet, "he could live to be 200." But still calling in a dietician.
"Absolutely nothing I'm withholding," Dr. Jackson assured reporters about the president's health report.
Pressed on cognitive and mental issues, "I’m very confident he has nothing like that going on," said Dr. Jackson, a specialist in Emergency Medicine.
"He doesn't sleep much," says Dr. Jackson of the president. Based on observation, he guesses Pres Trump gets 4-5 hours a night. Probably been that way his whole life, says the WH Physician.
"Hands down - no question he's in the excellent range," said Dr. Jackson of the president's cardiac health. But says he could make it better with diet and exercise.
