Bannon has already done massive damage to Trump. Why do you think Miller and Trump’s spokesperson said there was no way back for Bannon? It’s Because this is not a minor tiff; it’s a fundamental betrayal. I.e.: it has been established that Bannon was Wolff’s entre into the WH. Bannon colluded with the Trump-hating liar on several levels. Nor did Bannon quickly deny the worst of Wolff’s quotes. Bannon took his sweet time, allowing the damage to maximize before weakly claiming he’d been misrepresented.
Wolff could never in a million years have simply waltzed into the WH. Even a press pass, assuming he could have gotten one, would have been very limiting. But Bannon gifted Wolff with a WH visitor’s pass. That gave Wolff the freedom he needed to knife Trump up close and personal.
There’s no getting around it; Bannon is the one directly responsible for enabling Wolff to write his hit piece. That is a fact, and it’s why this ouster is different. After Trump falls out with Graham, Graham is still a Senator whose support and votes Trump needs. Bannon is not a Senator. He doesn’t have the power his supporters imagine he does. (That became clear in Alabama.) Bannon is just a guy with a psychologically unbalanced hatred of Kushner. He made a very nasty bed, and now he has to sleep in it.
As for Milo, flaming gay people are not stable. You may have stuck with Milo after he spoke of homosexual adult males being intimately involved with underage boys, but many did not. There’s nothing remotely conservative about promoting that ‘lifestyle.’ It’s not the Mercers fault that Milo flamed out. Blame it on the unhealthy mental condition that comprises homosexuality. Such blame would not be misplaced.
FYI, Bannon is apparently a contact if not actual friend of LS. He posted just the other day that he spoke to Bannon while Bannon was in China.
