Some inborn factors render easier a later spiritual/emotional/physical one-two punch of Satan that leads to this kind of habituation. And some render it more difficult.

The correlation between identical twins is around 50%. Quite high, but not infallible.

All the evidence I’ve seen to support a genetic correlation seems to be contrived.

We have a greater incidence of sexual perversion of all kinds in our society.

Historically we see cultures go into this downward spiral and ultimately collapse.

Have we ever explored the genetic predisposition of people to be adulterers, for example? Of course not.

I will agree that most people who find themselves in any particular addictive behavior, feel as if there is no “choice” involved. And that may be true once a person has become an addict.

We can not help people who have these addictions when there is a culture of codependency that foster and encourages these addictions.
