Bush and Clinton go way back to their happy days together helping Nicaraguans ship arms and drugs via the Mena, Arkansas airport, and they've been good buddies ever since - appearing at charity events together, supporting the same foreign, trade, and immigration policy, etc.

The 1992 "election" wasn't really an election at all, since we'd be stuck with more or less the same politics and policies either way. The only difference between the two is that Clinton was more openly sleazy in his personal life.
