Last winter I was flying from LAX to Springfield Missouri to visit family in the area. Lady in the seat next to me was flying to the Branson area to house hunt. She was from a gated community in OC and was telling me about their move and why. She and Hubby owned an internet biz (didn’t tell me what) and could live anywhere as long as they had net access.
After 1 week, the airline we flew only goes certain days, I saw her again in the airport after check in. She had bought a 3500 square foot log style home in some small podunk on Table Rock Lake and was on her way home to list their house and get moved asap. She said she paid cash for the house in Missouri.
Nice ending for her. Getting in a lifeboat before the ship goes under. There’s no excuse for a bountiful, huge state such as this to be in this state of affairs.
