I woke up abruptly. Overzealous JROTC Cadets ran and yelled on the high school track across the street. I rolled over and grabbed my reading glasses. Time to return to the book which Id fallen asleep reading. Its Leo Strauss and the Politics of Exile by Eugene Sheppard. Thirty minutes later, I faced a tough choice. Should I go down and check on my children? Or watch an old Lomachenko fight on Youtube? Then my wife called up, Babe, its garbage day. Take out the trash! So I rushed downstairs. My typical Saturday ritual. As I dragged the trash out a bizarre sound boomed from my phone. I read the message:
Ballistic missile threat inbound. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill.
So its today, I thought...

I read a novel once about a soldier walking in the exact center of the Pentagon, thinking about the vendors there, and them being oblivious of how many nuclear missiles were pointed at the exact spot where they were standing. Chilling to think of.
The Soviets put the lie to themselves in the ABM treaty. They claimed Russia would never be the first to use nuclear weapons. In the treaty, the two countries agreed to protect the missile silos with ABMs, or their cities, but not both.
The US elected to ring our missile sites with ABMs. The Soviets elected to ring Moscow, giving the lie to their no first strike claim. There was no need to protect their ICBM sites because those missiles would be launched in a first strike.
Moscow was ringed to defend against the counter strike.
By ringing our missile sites with ABMs, we were defending our ability to retaliate.
Oooo...ooooo...I know...I know...
But I'll let you keep the audience in suspense...
So you intend to take the first strike
Gee Dad, that really really doesnt answer my question of why we are just sitting around waiting for incoming
when they guys who tell us to keep talking all have escape plans to survival bunkers
Don't think for one second this alert was a mere MISTAKE. It was no mistake, it was INTENTIONAL as a means to test PUBLIC REACTION to an impending calamitous event. This alert was perpetrated by the Soros globalists to test how the public will react when the President is forcibly removed from office.
I bet the laundromats and dry cleaners in Hawaii had a run on business today.
Some people I talked to today think the false alert was issued on purpose. It was done so as to provide a backdrop for prominent leftists to tie the scare to Trump and his red button comments.
This is how leftists work. They seize current events and turn them into an instrument of their fight to destroy normal people.
The clock bomb muzzy was turned into evil unfair persecution of a muzzy by evil White Christians right at the exact time that bammy was bringing in millions of muzzies.
The “me too” crap was a backdrop, a failed one, that was to bring down DTrump. The cover picture of bruce jenner trying to look feminine was the signal to go full force and to compel us normal people to accept trans $hit as if it were normal.
The Charlottesville incident was used to create the narrative that Trump is a White supremacist.
So I think that this incident was done with the understanding that it would be used to $hit on Trump over the red button incident.
If the Pres had good evidence that the USSR was planning an attack, we would have beaten them to the draw and launched first.(They had to fuel their rockets, before launch, we did not.) We were listening to their phone conversations, via Ivy Bells, and others. There was no point in nuking empty silos.
Our missiles were more accurate, we had more of them, our radar was better, and our subs were quieter and more reliable as well as that few Red Navy subs sailed without an American tail.
From 1959 on, the US was never in any real danger. The USSR bankrupted itself trying to keep up. That's why it collapsed.
Now that Obama has finished, however, we are closer to losing a nuclear exchange than at any time in the last 50 years.
Right there, is a good reason to put the d#%ksucker against a wall and shoot his skinny a$$.
My wife would never ask such a silly question. She knows the answer would involve practice.
Was that response sent in the clear?
Good lord, no. It went as a flash Zulu through our classified communications facility.
“I was doing Minuteman Missile maintenance at Malmstrom AFB near Great Falls MT. Part of the emergency plan was to go to a reconstitution site in the nearby mountains after a first strike.”
I was FMMS at Ellsworth back in 80-83. Was doing work in the launch tube with another airman when someone high up decided to run an EWO (Emergency War Order) exercise. Spent 3 hours in a cage lift, chest to chest with the other airman, in the dark, in the missile tube with everyone else evacuated. Not knowing if it was a drill or the real thing.
I hate to say this....but if this had come on the air in Alabama, about 95-percent of people would have paused and asked what ‘ballistic’ meant? Then they would have hunted someone with a college degree to explain this to them, even if it were a degree in French literature. The thirty-eight minutes would have passed with a conversation with the geeky guy over ballistic meaning, NCAA football, and church-going activities.
Whole other world out there beyond Hawaii.
Was that Ft. Hancock, NJ? I drove up there in 65 from Ft. Monmouth. I saw the Nike site. One of the guys I was stationed with a year later had been assigned to that base.
I sure do not.
I always figured that if a Russian boomer got to 12 miles offshore D.C. we’d know he was there.
Still......(hey there was always the Looking Glass Plane) - and the E-6’s...
Oh BTW, I agree on the treasonous ______ (fill in the blank at home).
