Looking closer at the pics....there seem to be 3 boys. Also, some of the girls’ faces could be a lot older than the bodies look. Plus they’re all dressed like children. Faces not blotted out at this link.
Mom appears to be on the short side. Daughters might also be short for that reason. But if they were being chained during this time, malnutrition might be a factor, too.

btw.. I am a bit concerned about the one that is holding a baby.. whose is it.. and who is the father.. o.O
In one of the photos, the girls look too thin. That can tend to make women look younger than their age, especially before they get to middle age. They wouldn’t likely all be that thin at the same time unless they are malnourished.
Also, most of the photos of the mother feature her and the baby. I don’t think she ever appears with the other children except in group photos. I am wondering if she is the second wife and only the baby is hers. That would explain the wedding photos. If so, she isn’t showing public affection for her stepchildren, not through social media, anyway.
I suspect the facts in this case are going to be bizarre. The neighbors surely weren’t curious.
