I've thought there was something weird about the 'flat earth' stories when they suddenly started sprouting a year or so ago. I figured it was a way for the media to make fun of Christians. The other side of course, is that there are also people who are so scientifically illiterate that they think there are more than two genders.

The old Flat Earth Society was just a droll joke, like Densa, or the Procrastinators Society (which has yet to actually get founded, for some reason), people with a nice low threshold of humor having a bit of fun. The new breed is fueled by YT and by various fauXian nimrods and probably grew right out of the jokers who think the Moon landings were hoaxed.
