I think it is a big problem, but I would like to see a separation of two different kinds of cases here, those that arise from general statements of opinion, and those that might involve targeted statements that as the law reads, “cause annoyance, anxiety etc” to a specific person, as in posting, “my neighbour Reg Brown of 15 Ash Grove, Leicester, is a child molester and a pervert,” when there is no evidence of same. That I could see as being a genuine legal case. So of this 3,400 people, how many are like that, and how many are more like you or me saying “we don’t want a lot of immigration” — and has it spread to climate change yet, because that’s where the shark gets jumped big time with two thirds of the population skeptical about what their elitist masters want them to believe.
