It is entirely pointless, by this time, to try and suck up to the Left. Your hand wringing and pearl clutching serves no purpose.

I'm not doing any of those things. I'm expressing my own opinion that the President's comments were inartful—whether true or not. If you had any knowledge of my posting history, you'd know that your characterizations above are patently absurd.

In this community, I'm often accused of being to fervent a cheerleader of this President. Well, in this particular case, I'm not in that camp. The President made a bona fide mistake, and should apologize for it, IMHO...

In my mind, President Trump called a spade a spade. From a check with Google: “To “call a spade a spade” is a figurative expression which refers to calling something “as it is”, that is, by its right or proper name, without “beating about the bush”—being outspoken about it, truthfully, frankly, and directly, even to the point of being blunt or rude, and even if the subject is considered coarse, ...”
