So, my question to you and others is: Would you chance forgoing our (current) dominant position in an attempt to restore what cannot be repaired? Know that if you fail, you subject you and your progeny to the boot for all eternity.

There are no absolutes. The battle of good versus evil is not something we can wish away or extinguish by design or device but must be continuously waged in the trenches in our lifetime and carried on by our progeny into the future for the betterment of our country.

That's an eloquent and impassioned response, but unfortunately, a tad fanciful and not at all realistic given our current circumstances.

We live in a post-constitutional, full spectrum surveillance state. This isn't 1776 where patriots could organize with a modicum of privacy. 1984 was inevitable - the threat of the technological scientific state was recognized by civil libertarians and welcomed by aspiring tyrants.

FR is a great forum to conduct parlor room debates about good vs evil, self determination, fee will, etc ie the whole range of subjects covering government and philosophy. But what I am suggesting is to consider making a rational, hard choice.

We have the ability to seize upon the foundation so foolishly erected by the left. It's in our hands now - the Hag wasn't necessarily correct when she said they'd all hang. It is so much more critical than that. Establishing spying as legally mandated and sanctioned government activity (you know, national security and enemies, foreign & domestic) is the greatest mistake the uni-party ever made.

What I'm suggesting is for the right to step back, calm down, and recognize what it has been gifted. Don't piss it away on some quixotic quest of revenge and thereby risk electoral blow-back. Instead, force the opposition into the most extreme corners by compromising every center-left-right candidate that opposes MAGA.
