The movie
Good-bye, Lenin is set in the period around the fall of the Berlin Wall. An East German woman who is a devoted Communist has a stroke just before the collapse of the East German regime and her family decides they must keep the news from her for medical reasons.
Among the things they do is create fake TV news broadcasts designed to look like those on the old East German stations for her to watch.
It's a funny movie.
