Why do people get so upset and want to erase history? They deny and refuse to learn from it. Why do they feel so threatened, to the point of exhibiting similar behavior, by something that has passed? I think it’s a serious flaw in their character and upbringing.

I don’t need reminders of my son getting killed in Iraq, but I don’t get bent out of shape seeing video footage of the ambush or the like.
