You have a frail grasp on reading comprehension. The bill of rights lists personal freedoms to safeguard them from government. Have you read it? That is all I said. Though if you want to discourse on natural rights theory we can go there once you have read your Strauss.

There is no freedom to dope up. Nada. Zilch. That is licentiousness and would be abhorred by the men of the revolution.

The erroneous equation of unlawful libertine behavior with the political freedom the Constitution provides was and continues to be a key project of the left to destroy the enduring meaning of the Constitution.

You must be so proud to be part of that endeavor!

I have found that dopers and addicts and their enablers will say and do anything, however erroneous, to protect their high.

Now you can tell me high George Washington was a man without any self control whatever and grew MJ on his farm to give to his patriot soldiers. Or he would have if he could.

Have fun living in fable land.

I'll stand by my interpretation of the Constitution vs. your flawed view.

The Constitution in no way grants us our rights. They are inalienable. It limits government, and only allows the federal government to do certain enumerated things, leaving everything else to the people and the states. We have tons of rights that the Constitutions ignores completely (in that they are not mentioned specifically), but acknowledges them in it's quest to provide the necessary shackles on the federal government. It's right there in the 10th Amendment.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Where is the government given the right to determine what anyone can drink, eat and smoke?
