Steve Bannon responded to President Donald Trump's blistering assault by calling the president "a great man" and saying, "I support him day in and day out."
Bannon, former White House chief strategist, made the comments on SiriusXM's "Breitbart News Tonight" show hours after the Trump administration unleashed a multi-tiered blitzkrieg of rebukes and condemnation against him for his explosive remarks in Michael Wolff's new book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House."
But Bannon remained nonplussed and steadfast in his support of the president.
"The President of the United States is a great man," Bannon said on Breitbart News Tonight."
"You know I support him day in and day out, whether going through the country giving the Trump Miracle Speech or on the show or on the website," Bannon said, responding to a caller.
Bannon again early Thursday reiterated his continued support of the president.
"Nothing will ever come between us and President Trump and his agenda," Bannon said on Breitbart Radio, CNN reported. "We're tight on this agenda as we've ever been."

“Your point has no bearing on what might be at play. The fact is, we just dont know, now do we?”
You’re right, my point has no bearing on wishful thinking, just reality.
This whole thing makes me sad.:(
He obviously didn’t.
On something that you KNOW. Right.
Making ASSUMPTIONS on reports that you have no earthly idea of how to verify is not living in the real world.
Now, if you care to engage in conjecture, knock yourself out. I just don’t have the time or patience for playing guessing games.
I’m assuming nothing. I know that Bannon has had plenty of time to deny what’s in the book and he hasn’t.
But don’t let reality intrude in your wishful thinking.
‘He jumps around more than a flea on a hot skillet.’
Bol.
Do we need to get you a binky for that?
Bannon has been looking and acting like the drunken Irishman stereotype.
That photo just screams, “They’re always after me Lucky Charms!”
He should think before he opens his pie hole.
I see you’re still avoiding reality. Thanks for making my point, delusional one!
He has said that he stopped drinking in the 90s but he sure does not look like it.
Agree with you... a snake reporter— since generally a reporter seeking one out in the Trump admin (or after being in it). would normally be assumed to be the enemy. This particular “writer” is a proven fabricator— ie. his books are full of complete lies— so it’s probable he took a quote and twisted it to this purpose. Bannon needs to find the quotes and refute them outright, and call Wolffe a liar— which he is.
Look at what the press did to BOTH Gorka and Bannon— these were the “white supremacists” and “nazis” weren’t they? Gorka being an anti-islamofascist pro-Hungarian nationalist— therefore non-EU non-Merkel non illegal muzzies and... Christian, and brilliant. Bannon— we’ve heard the “Irish” “Southie Boston” “race-baiter” etc... all from the BLM.
We can’t know why or who fired Bannon— but the leaking was probably the issue. As to supporting Trump, it’s clear Gorka and Bannon are even greater help to the Trump agenda— outside their former offices. It’s also clear that the “family battle” exists between Don, Jr. and Ivanka/Kushner lefties. It’s a situation one sees in “family businesses” and really, family as advisors is not a good idea. The libs have been working this relationship— as seen in this crapola distraction.
basically people both in the wh and here who are attacking bannon are admitting they think the book is accurate while saying that its fake.
IMO I don’t know if Jim agrees but FR should first and foremost be pro conservative not pro bannon or even pro trump. This bickering and sniping and tweeting on both sides is unbecoming. Let the facts be known and then deal with it calmly. Bannon has already been fired so its not like he has an real power over trump anymore anyways.
Steve screwed up.
Man, he looks worse than Vince Neal on a 4-day drunk.
Yeah, Steve, it’s utterly baffling that your friends have all left and Kathy Griffin won’t take your phone calls.
I agree, he looks like someone dragged down by personal crisis.
It’s hard to take the word “treasonous” out of context!
I will never understand how he allowed himself to be so deluded as to give a leftist reporter almost untrammeled access to the White House.
It just boggles my mind.
