Is this supposed to be satire? This story makes no sense. It is not the President’s job to carry the codes around, it is the aide’s job - in fact, the aide’s #1 responsibility is his/her personal possession of the codes. Defend with your life and all that. I assume these aides are rotated on something like 8 hour shifts, with the briefcase or “football” passed to the aide coming on duty at the proper time. Even if an aide somehow left the codes in a restroom just B4 he/she and the President got on a plane or something, and was afraid to report it, the next aide coming on duty would be like “WTF!” and all hell would break loose (esp. for the negligent agent!)

Shame! It took 24 post before someone (you!) saw the obvious. This 'article', such that it is, is made up out of whole cloth. FAKE News!
