I feel for ya. I spent 62 yrs just south of you in Mercer Co. Did my share of fighting frozen livestock water fountains. Times I took an axe twice a day to the creek, and made holes the cows could drink from.
I remember one tough sub zero blizzard night checking on them, flashlight in hand. They were in a ravine just sitting there, chewing their cuds, looking at me, like...??? What do you want??
7 - 10 days ago the Mississippi was flowing wide open. It’s just about completely frozen over now.
