This is how you extract overdue documents from agencies who are refusing the rule of law:
Congress tells the rogue agency that they will reduce their federal budgets by $1,000,000 per day, for each and every day that goes by after the document deadline.
That will work assuming that the Republican leadership really wants those documents. I suspect they do not.
They need to get creative with money as a weapon. For instance, how to cut budgets: Offer each manager 10% of every dollar his budget center is reduced.
One way.
Another. Sessions issues an order of compliance.
French Foreign Legion slow march formation.
Maybe they’ll send them an angry sounding letter instead. If they don’t comply, another one in a few weeks.
That seems to be biz as usual up on the hill these days.
Well, they did bring their aprons.
Great idea, using the budget as a weapon, but it really wouldnt be necessary if a republican was in charge of the DoJ,.....hey....wait a minute....
DEFUND UNaccountable bureaucracies and totalitarian collectives.
DEPOPULATE bureaucrats, collectivists, totalitarians, socialists, scumbags, swamp creatures from the body politic.
DESTROY as necessary.

Unfortunately the house and senate would have to pass such a law. No way will the senate get 60 votes.

They only need 50. It’s a budget item.
It’s a coverup of the corruption and the coup. Bring in the Army, lock the doors empty the buildings take what you need.
Obama has taken a lot of the info for his library. It is not available unless President Trump intervenes.
Agree, but target the reductions to the salaries of the senior level executive staff and political appointees. That way any important, time and money sensitive missions of the agency will not be harmed.
For some reason it works like a charm. Wonder why.
Also helps to send all the managers home and call them back one at a time until they comply.
Depending on Congress...... good luck with that!
They’d probably turn over some documents as a result of that threat, but who would know if they turned over all documents? They could hold back anything incriminating and nobody would be the wiser.
Brilliant idea, but you have to get a bill through the House, Senate, and signed by the President to execute it.
But it was fun to dream.
Seems to me that Trump is president could just give a order that these documents be released immediately. I do not understand why the agencies are not in sync with him, unless he too does not with them released
