As I mentioned above, the new generation has been taught what to think, not how to think. So they read something and just run with it. All trust, no verify. I'm an old school conspiracy theorist. That's what brought me to FR back when people were digging about the blue dress etc.

But rumor was kept classified as rumor. You can't just claim it as fact until it is proven. Well, not if you have any respect for yourself. The only way these kids will learn is when they start realizing their own voices and reputation are suffering by posting info that ultimately isn't true. And that is more important than the rush they got for being the first to post it.
