(CNN)The ferocity of President Donald Trump's recent attacks on the integrity of the FBI has sent shock waves through an agency accustomed to public adulation in recent years. Sadly, much of the presidential criticism of the bureau may be entirely legitimate.
The FBI has traditionally enjoyed a highly favorable reputation among a majority of the nation's citizens. Despite controversial programs that sometimes employed illegal forms of surveillance and enforcement methods -- such as those used on black citizens lawfully protesting racial segregation, individuals in the "red scare" of the 1950s and long-haired students and others protesting the war in Vietnam during the 1960s and '70s -- this reputation endured. And American presidents continued to steadfastly defend the bureau -- that is, until now.

The Obama commissars transformed the once proud FBI into a Soviet style secret police agency. It was resigned to persecute political opponents and do whatever was necessary to preserve the Left. Historians will have no trouble understanding why Hillary Clinton was neither properly investigated nor arrested. Obama, Holder and Lynch were openly corrupt.
This feller prolly won’t be associated with CNN much longer.
Reminds me of the way journalist David Seaman was fired from HuffPo. He wrote a story titled something like, “Hillary Clinton is in excellent health, except for seizures, epipens...” and so on. Yeah he was out. Likewise, this OP article can’t be popular with CNN. Let’s wait for this journalist to be hired elsewhere abruptly.
And, it will not be easy to get rid of.

About 30 years ago the Boston FBI framed a guy for a murder they knew was committed by one of their mob informants. Dan Rhea, a reporter for WBZ-TV Boston, who also happened to be a lawyer got him a new trial, and the government dropped charges after the guy had already served 20 years. Some Boston agents were in cahoots with Billy Bulger, and one was even convicted of a murder he committed in Texas on Bulger’s behalf. They have been out of control for a long time.
I sure hope author Callan doesn’t think any of this is NEWs. It’s a rehash of stuff we’ve know for weeks, maybe months.
The fact this was published by CNN is interesting. Wonder what their angle is?
