In a column for Fox News Thursday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich wrote he believes Washington will experience a great political surprise, in 2018. The reason? Payback for lying about President Trump and his accomplishments.
The great political surprise of 2018 will be the size of the Republican victory, contends the Trump surrogate.
Gingrich writes:
After members of the elite media have spent two years savaging President Trump, lying about Republican legislation, and reassuring themselves that Republican defeat was inevitable, the size of the GOP victory in 2018 will be an enormous shock. [

I completely agree.
The Libscum have another curbstomp coming in the midterms.
The ensuing meltdown will be of epic proportions.
Didn’t he predict something similar for 1998?
Yeah, that would be nice.
The great political surprise of 2018 will be the size of the Republican victory,
I think it will be the size and scope of the normal/deplorable victory.
(Gingrich still doesn’t get it.)
That was 20 years ago.
I know I’ve learned a lot and hold some different views than I did 20 years ago.
Well, let’s have it. I swear, Newt Gingrich, Julian Assange, and Sean Hannity are turning into 3 of the biggest teases I ever saw. Drop the veil, boys.
I pray Newt is right on target here.
The mere thought of the RATS winning anything else is beyond horrifying.
Hopefully, President Trump will succeed in recruiting candidates in his image who believe in his MAGA agenda!
Moreover, I pray that President Trump is able to transfer his obviously growing popularity to others and turnout sufficient voters to the polls.
Let me throw cold water on all this. Lets enjoy ‘winning’ while we can whether or not what Newt says comes true. Soak it up while we can.
You know these bastards as well as I do. The reprisal, the payback - will be severe.
If the candidates don’t allow Trump to campaign for them, then I don’t think it will be a GOP victory. I don’t think a few seats will be lost.
*I think a few seats will be lost.

Yes, but he did not have the implosion pending on the major scandals that drive deep into the entire Democrat apparatchik.
It depends in part on whether or not the Republicans have decided, after all, that the strong horse is Trump. If the R party goes back to obstruction and opposition then the elections will be iffy.
We gain in the Senate. It’s just a matter of how many seats. I would say at least 5.
As for the House, I think we easily hold it.
Hell, on election night 2016, the control of the House was called very early. There was no drama whatsoever.
You were probably right the first time. Not a few seats will be lost in that case.
I think the Republicans will hold back enough to lose the senate so the impeachment proceedings can begin while the Republicans wring their hands and tell us they tried... but they just don’t have the votes.
Agree
From his lips to G-d’s ears.
But, one can never underestimate the low down tactics of the left and the effect it has on the leftist, adolescent punks in the electorate.
Between blatant leftist propaganda and voter fraud, it might be the opposite of his prediction; a rout for the Republicans.
IMHO
