Consider this: Carter gave us Reagan; Clinton gave us Bush; Bush gave us barkie. barkie gave us Trump. ALL of these were a switch from R to D or vice-versa.

But what about Reagan? NO switch! GHW Bush, Reagans VP, won 1 term until people found out what a lying no new taxes creep he was. GHW Bush gave us Clinton.
