There’s a significant body of thought that suggests they will not. That they are rational and will not precipitate their own certain destruction.
Of course those folks could be wrong. I do not think they are.
On that peninsula, there’s lots of civilians to spare.

Destroy their next ICBM that leaves the silo. And say very firmly, “not only will we shoot down the next missile, we will launch one of our own in retaliation.”

Maybe not as many as one might think. The entire city of Seoul has security drills. Wouldn’t surprise me if the entire population were sheltered before the first shell arrived.

The heavier artillery that can reach downtown Seoul is fewer in number and dispersed across the border.
That is the fear, but if they do that they are dead. And they know it.
