Good point. However, Hitler had his devout followers in the rank and file. I wonder how many of the rank and file under the little tyrant would turn on him in a second. Or maybe a day, if things were going poorly.

It sounds like life in North Korea is pretty bad.

Then again, I could be wrong.

“Then again, I could be wrong.”

Even if this strategy is an abysmal failure resulting in general war in Northeast Asia, it’s better to get on with it now rather than 1, 2 or five years from now.

“However, Hitler had his devout followers in the rank and file.”

Hitler had nothing on the Norks. After all, the Germans were presumably sane before Hitler swept their reason away, but Kim’s soldiers were born into institutional insanity.

If a person’s every idea is insane because that’s all he’s been taught, is he insane? And does that matter?

“I wonder how many of the rank and file under the little tyrant would turn on him in a second. Or maybe a day, if things were going poorly.”

The tendency will be to fight to the death.

“It sounds like life in North Korea is pretty bad.”

Horrible beyond the imagining of most Americans, but the best of what there is goes to the military. At least they eat.

Some years ago one of the dead Kims had to prohibit daylight burials, because the starving were digging up the deceased and eating them.
