A little bit of hell raisin’ might be in order and in fact, be just what our country needs. As far I can tell, Jeff Sessions is the major road block to instructing these folks to give full and truthful testimony to congressional committees. Remove that impediment then let the rats be shown in the full light of day. If they wish to take the fifth that is their decision, but full access to their records and documents by order of a new AG will clear up this matter. The citizens deserve to see the truth whatever it may be.
I am anxiously awaiting decisive action by the president once the Senate goes in recess. If he is interested in the truth wherever that may lead a new impartial outside AG is the best method and this is the path to find it.
OTOH the law can't function without deterrence. There will have to be due process for anyone who weaponized the national security apparatus or the legal system against political opponents. But that kind of investigation is best done very quietly. I would like to see some results eventually but I am very patient.
