A huge strategic mistake not making this retroactive. When most people realize that yes, they really are getting a tax cut they will know the Rats lied to them unfortunately that won’t happen until after the 2018 mid terms. And the Rats may get the house as a result.

The economy is already moving from being stagnant for 8 years.

Latest quarter GDP growth estimates are 3.9%

That’s 3 quarters at 3% or higher.

Housing starts are at a 10 year high.

11 months from now, it’ll be hard to hide the evidence that the economy has taken a YUUUGE change.

Whether Dem voters want to admit it, the Obama years were terrible for economic attitudes.

And again, they won’t openly admit it, but the overall attitudes for the economy have already changed.
People, in general, have a higher attitude about the economy.

The hard core Dems will never realize or admit it. But the not so hard core libs and the independents will notice.
(They may not like to admit it, but they will notice)

“A huge strategic mistake not making this retroactive.”

The huge mistake was in not passing the tax cut, the repeal of Obamacare, and the construction of the border wall in the first 100 days. If the GOP Congress had acted decisively and quickly as the year began, instead of slow walking and killing the major initiatives on which they were elected, the nation would be in a much better place today and the 2018 elections would be looking like a cakewalk for the GOP. Instead, the “do nothing” GOP Congress will be on the defensive in the 2018 elections and could lose its majority depending on how events play out over the next six months.

Likely 2018 being an election year, the GOP majority will continue to do nothing while being berated daily by the Democrats and the media. If they allow the Democrats and media to control the agenda, and the public discourse, they will lose in 2018 as independents shift to Democrats and disgusted conservative Republicans stay home.

The only Republican who seems to understand that the route to victory is controlling the narrative is President Trump. Ronald Reagan (with Lee Atwater’s help) understood the key is controlling the narrative.

Hi.

“A huge strategic mistake not making this retroactive.”

According to the Constitution, you can’t

Yes, I know that Clinton and the democrats did it (0bama and his democrats too), but ex post facto laws are forbidden.
