A rumor purportedly circulating around Capitol Hill that President Trump plans to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller is false, says White House Special Counsel Ty Cobb.
“As the White House has said for months, there is no consideration being given to firing the Special Counsel,” Cobb told The Daily Caller on Saturday in response to growing speculation that Mueller will soon be canned.
Trump has made no public comments about Mueller over the past week, but Democrats have increasingly speculated that Trump will find a way to shut down the special counsel probe.
Republicans have accused Democrats of raising that concern in order to deflect from revelations this week about anti-Trump text messages sent by the FBI agent who oversaw that Russia investigation went it began last year. Peter Strzok, the agent, was removed from Mueller’s investigation when his politically charged text messages were discovered.
Democrats have said that they fear that Trump will use the text messages as an excuse to shut down Mueller’s inquiry, which started in May.

But the President does not have to fire Mueller. In fact, if Mueller gets fired it will be done by Deputy Attorney General Rosensten. That is, unless Rosenstein is fired first.
See, what if Rosenstein does nothing about the unlawful conduct by the Mueller team? Well, Trump can fire Rosenstein.
Nay, some say. If he fires Rosenstein, the next in line is the also deep state Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand. Wrong. Not so!
Remember the recent CFPB debacle? It revealed that the Federal Vacancy Reform Act of 1998 allows the President to fill any vacancy with who he wants. No Senate confirmation is required for "acting Deputy Attorney General".
Trump can just appoint someone to replace Rosenstein that won't put up with Mueller's unlawful conduct. Trump's appointee can fire Mueller and his whole stinking team, which should be done now.
Give Mueller all the rope he needs, he will hang himself sooner or later with this “witch hunt” falling apart.
Truth beats fiction every day. I would guess that DJT is behind the rumor just to keep everyone guessing.
No need to fire him, have him arrested for treason.
before any of this, lets go back to what started the problem in the beginning, Fire Jeff Sessions, if he had not recused himself when he did not have to, this whole thing with Mueller came to be. Sessions is a elite swamp creature . we have a whole gang of criminals running loose like Holder, Comey, L. Lynch, several in the FBI, HLS, CIA, and IRS and Jeff is after gang members and pot smokers. give me a break.

I think Trump might have so much overwhelming evidence including videos, emails, and depositions against Mueller that he likes watching him like a cat that has captured a mouse, and lets it momentarily try to run off.

Not fired; uncloaked, investigated, interrogated and incarcerated. Unless they sing like canaries.
Mueller may be thinking Trump firing him is the best thing that could happen to him.
No doubt Sessions’ recusal opened the door for it, but it was Rosenstein who launched the thing and it is his full responsibility. In no way should he get away without consequences if he does not put an end to the unlawful and reckless Mueller team ASAP.
This investigation has revealed corruption I never thought could have existed. We have to thank Mueller and Rosenstein for putting us onto this corruption. Two more months of this and we could be in the Oval Office of the Obama administration. Loretta Lynch has to fall out in one two weeks. With her its not just about the tarmac meeting. And we thought J. Edger was corrupt .

I believe you’re right. Mueller might find great relief in getting off with only being fired.
We have all discovered that under TRUMP, the conservative media and the voter base have all learned together, finally, to street fight. The Left is not rolling us like they used to, under say a George W. Bush presidency, where we ignored every column and complaint and just sat around silently and threw away our own respect.
Not anymore. We are playing ball.
