Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Mateo) told KQED Newsroom on Friday that she believes Republicans are trying to shut down the House Intelligence Committee’s probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
Speier also said, “The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22nd, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller.”
If this were to happen, Speier said, it would cause a constitutional crisis. “That is Saturday massacre 2.0,” she said. “Without a doubt there would be an impeachment effort.”
Fellow representative, Adam Schiff, had the same concerns.
Schiff says that no witnesses have been scheduled after next Friday, and that dozens of outstanding witnesses have not been contacted. He tweeted that there will be interviews next week, but they will be held out of state while important votes will be keeping members of Congress in Washington D.C.

The libs are hoping that this is true. They know that Mueller has come up with nothing, and by firing him, he would instantly become a martyr.
This POS Democrat, like Schiff, do nothing but try to stir the waters with rumor and innuendo. What they accomplish is to have people constantly hear false negatives about President Trump which are hyped by the corrupt media.
“Rumor”, that and $3.00 might buy you a Starbucks coffee.

Exactly. President Trump will not fire Mueller - if anything happens next week, Mueller will be closing the investigation.
With each passing day, Mueller becomes more crippled and his "investigation" more obviously corrupt and flawed.
If this keeps up, it will be easy for Trump to point that out to the public as he pardons everyone caught up in this dog and pony show.
Oh well if we are talking sheer rumors, then I am pretty sure someone somewhere said (e.g., me to my wife) that Spiers is heading home on break and will NOT return to DC (sarc).
The constitutional crisis is having a President weaponize the IRS, the FBI, and the CIA to use against political opponents and to try to prevent the other party from winning the Presidential election. It worked for him in 2012 but not for his chosen successor in 2016.
But no one wants to talk about Obama's culpability in all of this.

They warn about a Mueller firing being grounds for impeachment, but I'll bet most of America doesn't know what's been going on.
It's the worst political sabotage this country has ever seen....worse than the IRS. Weaponizing the government against its citizens because of political beliefs is beyond words. This is worse, as it targeted a presidential opponent and then President. Treason.

The next week the Trump transition team moved to his New Jersey Trump National. The theory is Rogers knew what was being plotted, snooped, spied, planned. In other words, Trump KNOWS and is a couple steps ahead. Maybe that's why he doesn't appear to be worried.

I wonder if that’s the only “rumor” on the Hill, or is it just one of about a half a gazillion “rumors” floating around on the Hill ALL the time? And is there anything in particular to about this particular “rumor” that might make any more valid that the other half a gazillion “rumors”?

Eric Holder is corrupt but so far he’s not been tied to the Comey scandal. All those others have bee to some degree.
