If you’re a legally armed citizen in New York City then you’d be an idiot to be less concerned about cops than criminals.
Also, if a criminal illegally assaults you then you have a right to defend yourself. But if a cop illegally assaults you you’re supposed to just suck it up and pray that you don’t get killed.

You’re giving in to media sensationalism. Idiots fight with cops and force them to use deadly force as their gun can be used by the assailant. Idiots fight with cops and idiots get shot. And I will go so far as to say cops really make an honest effort not to shoot people even though they may want them dead. Try living up to that standard.
