WFIL (aka “wiffle”) is now Christian.
About the last of the three letter, K’s out east?

I used to listen to KQV top 40 radio in the early Beatles era. I remember Chuck Brinkman.
That’s where he met Jim Quinn, who gave him a lot of his lessons in how to do radio.
If he’s shutting down and not selling out, his license should be up for grabs. Hard to argue that you are operating in the public interest when you aren’t operating.
A K call east of the Mississippi. Those are grandfathered and rare.
KDKA is another, also in Pittsburgh.
Wow. This brings back memories.
My three brothers and I had a little AM radio in our bedroom and late at night about 1970 we would listen to far off stations (WLS in Chicago?) another one out of Buffalo- Cheektowaga!- call sign forgotten.
The reception was better in the winter and it would come and go as the latest hits were played.
Timothy, Timothy, Joe was looking at you.
How far we’ve come electronically.
