She was escorted out of the White House and grounds by security. The Secret Service denied being a part of her “removal”, which implied that she was removed, perhaps physically escorted. Accused of trying to reach the White House residence was a bridge too far for a dignified exit.

I’m more concerned about a guy like Kelly vetting everything, and only allowing things through that fit Kelly’s warped worldview. It isn’t good to have a single gatekeeper for information. Chief of staff isn’t meant to be junior presidential decision maker... he is simply meant to organize the staff, make arrangements the president needs, etc.
But Kelly is a General so everyone gets enthralled.
