Republican Roy Moore is still not conceding defeat in Alabamas special election for a U.S. Senate seat -- 24 hours after Democrat Doug Jones claimed victory.
In a video posted to YouTube on Wednesday evening, Moore says his campaign is still waiting for the election results to be certified by the Alabama secretary of state.
Moore notes in the video that military and provisional ballots remained to be counted.
Election results showed that Jones defeated Moore by 49.9 percent to 48.4 percent.

Excellent post ...very accurate assessment ... I can’t believe others simply can’t admit that our side blew it ...
It was no different when Sharron Angle lost, or Todd Akin, or Richard Murdock, or Christine O'Donnell...
People here seem to think that all we need to do is run fire 'n brimstone evangelicals and they'll march to righteous victory, the mighty Sword of God in their hand! Because this is what America wants!
And then we do and they lose.
And then they blame it on a conspiracy. A hostile media. Being outspent by the opposition.
Hmm... I seem to recall a guy whose opponent raised hundreds of millions of dollars more than he did. A guy whose own party loathed him and tried to hobble his campaign at every opportunity. A guy who was attacked mercilessly and ceaselessly by every single television, radio, and print media out there, including allegations of sexual assault on minors.
This guy won. And he didn't campaign on Bible quotes either.
And not ten seconds after CNN called the race in Alabama, President Trump tweeted Doug Jones his sincere congratulations.
President Trump likes winners, not losers and Roy Moore is a loser. It's time for him to concede and disappear to join the ranks of Angle, Akin, Mourdock, and O'Donnell in the "WTF were we thinking?" club. And most importantly, it's time for people to take a painful lesson from this. There is no seat safe enough to allow us the luxury of running fringe nutjob candidates.
