True dat. Any smart Christian knows that it just confuses the world.
I don't know how smart Roy is, I have to assume that he is pretty smart, just not always wise.
He is definitely old fashion.
He grew up in a time where families were enthusiastic about setting up their young daughters to marry a well established successful older man.
There is no way that fact can be explained in this modern knee jerk ignorant of historical culture society.
He was a very good Christian man with off target communication and a blind spot for being politically shrewd.
