I’m not going to praise Rosentein but I’m finding it difficult to demonize him.
Rosenstein sees no problem with his best friend Mueller's judgement related to the prosecuting team that Mueller picked.
Rosenstein sees no problem continuing an investigation based on a false dossier.
Rosenstein see's no DOJ rules violation with Mueller and his own conflicts of interest.
Rosenstein now supports the broadening of the Mueller investigation to include investigating Trump's finances.
Rosenstein continues to stonewall about the evidence that was used to get the FISA warrant. And he defers on that investigation to the Obama nominated DOJ IG Michaal Horowitz. And that is the same IG who whitewashed Fast & Furious protecting DOJ AG Eric Holder.
Rosenstein sees no double standard in having a special prosecutor to investigate Trump, while not having a special prosecutor to investigate Uranium One and other similar matters. Related to that, and Rosenstein's own self interest, Rosenstein whitewashed the Uranium One deal. He failed to use key witnesses when he prosecuted a couple of low level fall guys in that case. And then he gave them lenient plea deals.
And that's the short list.
I see no difficulty criticizing Rod Rosenstein.
