The man (Heinlein) was an incredible observer of the human condition.

He had a lot of great stuff, but he also had a fair amount of crap, especially in his early years. For example, he was originally a big fan of sexual libertinism and thought monogamy was a horrible thing. I don't know if he changed his mind on that stuff or not.
