Fox News Host Slams GOP Support For Roy Moore: ‘I Hope The Guy Loses’

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld says he hopes Republican Roy Moore loses Tuesday’s special election in Alabama for a U.S. Senate seat.

“I hate team-sport politics, and right now this is team-sport politics,” he said on “The Five” on Monday. “The argument is: Moore is bad, but a Democrat is worse, and... it’s a shame, because it shouldn’t be. It doesn’t always have to be a team sport.”

He said President Donald Trump throwing his weight behind Moore is part of the “team sport” element of politics.

“Even though Trump is endorsing this guy, it’s because he has to, because it’s his team,” Gutfeld said. “And I have to say, you know, I hope the guy loses.”

He added:

“If you’re upset that I say that, that is not on me. That’s on the team-sport ideology that’s pernicious because the long-term consequences of a Moore is much worse than the initial loss that you will experience tomorrow. Trust me.”

Hannity is a coward. He refuses to openly support Moore. I think the reason is Hannity thinks the MSM has something on him.. The MSM a few months ago tried the sexual assault allegations with him and he threatened to sue. They’re still out there and I guarantee you they resurface and he’ll be fired exactly like O’Reilly was fired. The allegations on Hannity came out before the crazy ass ‘me too’ inquisition. Tick, tick, tick.

“Didn’t these accusations (rolled back) happen 40+ years ago? “

We are suppose to believe that the Bezos Compost went to Alabama and searched and “found” these six women. I call BS. Someone in the Roy Moore not fan club put Compost the onto them. Which means it is either “constructed” BS or they were collecting them and waiting until the right moment to unleash them.

BTW I maintain that is you have a clear recollection of the 70’s you weren’t there.

Too bad Richard Shelby didn’t think his vote through.

What got them all to agree is Roy Moore’s stance on gay marriage. All of the news media is united on this issue. Almost all of them have gay friends and this is a very big deal to them even though they may not say so.

Had to turn off FoxNews, early this morning, as they started in on their Roy Moore bashing right from the start.

Switched to FoxBiz, but, unfortunately, they were almost as bad.

If I see Ari Fliescher bashing Roy Moore one more time, I’ll barf.

I’m looking forward to tuning in tomorrow. I have a feeling it’s going to be Nov 9, 2016 all over again.

“Gutfield made an argument that the long term pain Republicans will feel defending Moore will outweigh losing a senate seat,...”

A swell argument if you don’t think down the road just a little.

Moore wins. Left go after Trump and Moore to resign over unproven allegations.
Moore looses. Left go after Trump to resign over unproven allegations.

Praying so.

It’s amazing all of the leftist dirty tricks, that they’re throwing in to this race.

If Judge Moore wins this race, after all of the carp thrown at him by the lying MSM AND the establishment Republicans, it will be via Divine intervention.....just like Nov 9, 2016!

Politics is ugly.

The Democrats win because they feel that their agenda is more important than ANYTHING. Bill Clinton could have raped a 14 year old while being recorded on video tape and they would have still supported him. The AGENDA (and thus the Party) is of ultimate importance.

The Republicans lose because they do not understand this. They would rather keep their “integrity” and lose, than suck it up and win.

It is an unfortunate fact that those who put politics first will always win in the game of politics. It is like the house edge in a casino. The Republicans may win a hand or two, but unless they change their mindset, the Democrats will win in the end.

If you have convinced yourself that the other side is absolute evil, what won’t you do to stop them? The Democrats see the Republicans as absolute evil, thus anything - lying, bribery, blackmail, even treason - is acceptable in fighting the “ultimate” evil.

Re: “IMO Trump was the only conservative candidate and that is why he won the primary and the presidency.”

I felt that Rick Santorum was the most Conservative GOP candidate. However, Santorum had zero chance of being elected.

Re: “The rest were bought and paid for.”

Many Freepers feel the same way, but I strongly disagree.

I think almost every Republican national leader is personally committed to a center-left political philosophy.

I think the only reason that Jeb Bush, John McCain, Paul Ryan, and other GOP leaders are Republicans is because they are very uncomfortable with the pacifism and the cultural and economic extremism of the Democratic Party.

Re: “Please name a single Democrat “center right” or not who would do a single thing that Trump has done.”

Center-right Democrats are currently an extinct species.

Before the 1980s, I would claim that most of the Democrat Senators and Congressmen from the Old South were center-right, and that many of them would have governed even more Conservatively than Trump on issues like immigration, and at least as Conservatively as Trump on issues like government regulations, military spending, and Supreme Court appointments.

Re: “Name one center right Dem who would declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel?”

Every center-right Democrat has resigned or been expelled from the Democrat Party.

Today, no Democrat, of any political stripe, would aggressively defend or support the nation of Israel.
