All I'm saying is when taxpayers see their Federal taxes suddenly shooting up due the Republican tax plan, I believe it's a bit insane to think they're going to blame the liberals for it.

It's just difficult for me to understand why anyone would think giving more of their money to the Feds sounds like a good idea - as if the Fed gove won't fritter it away on God knows what silliness.

And good luck "undoing" any extra tax once it's been put in place.

I don't want the feds to have more money, I want to starve the beast. One way to do that is to make more tax haters. One way to make more tax haters is to cost them money because their local spend thriftyness would no longer be tax deductible.

I'm not sold on this idea, but it does seem to me to have at least some strategic thinking behind it.

I understand that it’s sometimes hard to pick up and leave logistically, but if it’s more just an emotional/pride thing, you should get over it and move - vote with you wallet and your feet.

I used to be a proud NYer, but I saw my state become a dumping ground for the nation’s freaks and kooks and left. I’m now proud to have zero association with that craphole and happy that I only have to set foot in there to visit family on special occasions.
