“I can only hope it turns out this way.”

Yeah, I’m of the mind that it’s just some wishful thinking that will come back to bite Republicans. I’m so old that I can remember when conservatives wanted to lower American’s taxes - now they’ve become the ones who tax American’s taxes. Oy.

What is that old adage? "The power to tax is the power to destroy".

What would taxing taxes likely destroy?

So which blue state cesspit do you call home?

Liberals love taxes...for other people. This tax bill requires them to stop hiding their credit card bills in the national debt, and you’re upset because you’ve been a beneficiary of this scam.

If high taxes don’t bother you enough to pull up stakes for a redder state, then you’ll get over some much deserved medicine to your state reps. Maybe it’ll force them to become more fiscally disciplined, or maybe it’ll be enough to get you to move and separate yourself from people who hate you and everything you stand for. Otherwise, I don’t think Republicans are too worried about losing your vote from a politically lost state.
