You’re right it won’t pressure them, because the libs will just spin it as a GOPee tax increase and the blue state voters will swallow it hook, line and sinker. Plus most of their voters probably don’t pay taxes anyway. They’ll enjoy seeing those “rich” property owners get screwed.
In my opinion this is a huge misstep for Republicans. The outcome won’t be what they hope it will be. They always misjudge the Democrats class warfare and now they’re adding to it.
