My father was 32 when he courted my mother in 1936. She was 15. They married that October, the day after my mother turned 16. My father turned 33 that same month. It wasn’t a shot-gun wedding. Their first child wasn’t born until 1940. I was the last of four born in 1947. My father was not a pedophile as libs today would label him. He was a hard working provider for his family, as well as a loving husband, and father. He died at the age of 72 in 1978.
